Welcome to CardAura – where we’re passionate about enhancing how you display your collection. Founded by Rick, a lifelong collector, CardAura was created as a tribute to the hobby we know and love.

Rick is a student at Toronto Metropolitan University and has been collecting trading cards like Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Magic: The Gathering since he was five years old. From ripping packs in search of elusive chase cards to battling with made-up playground rules, his love for the hobby has never faded.

His most prized possession isn’t the Umbreon Master Ball card he pulled with his girlfriend after six tins (Girlfriend buff is real). Instead, it’s a card he pulled with his grandma at the Chartwell Mall when he was just eight years old—the Chimaera Master of Beasts.

Excited, he looked it up online and saw that it was a Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship prize card. Rick thought he had struck gold! He proudly showed it off at school, bragging about the power he possessed. That is, until one of his friends pointed out a flaw: how could a Worlds-exclusive card come from a pack? Reality hit like a ton of bricks—his prized card was fake.

Still, real or not, that card held a special place in his heart. It was loved, played with, and cherished. Even now, when he looks at it, all he sees is the greatest card ever.
